Firstly, apologies for the hiatus and long delay in sending out this newsletter but as 2020 has dragged on, things have been incredibly busy.

I wanted to get one final newsletter out before the year’s end to wish all of my supporters and subscribers to Nation First a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. Yes, I said “merry Christmas” and not the politically correct “happy holidays” or “Season’s greetings” nonsense. Let me double down by reminding everyone of the reason for the season:

The end of the year gives us pause for thought about what’s happened to our country in 2020. A lot of it isn’t good.

The Wuhan flu, lockdowns and CCP bullying

The year began with Communist China unleashing a plague that, while not as bad as first imagined, has still killed 1.69 million people and destroyed economies and jobs right across the globe. We still do not really know if the Wuhan coronavirus (aka COVID-19) was deliberately created, accidentally released from a laboratory or spread from animals sold in a wet market. What we do know is that at the same time the Chinese Communist Party stopped Wuhan residents from travelling throughout China, they were allowed to travel internationally carrying the virus with them.

Having said all of that, here is the truth you will not hear from the fake news media or from opportunistic politicians: your chances of surviving COVID-19 if you catch it are greater than 997 out of 1,000. They aren’t my figures, they are the World Health Organisation’s figures. They say the median Infection Fatality Rate across 51 countries where studies have been done is 0.27% and for those aged under 70 it is 0.05%. That’s pretty good odds.

Even so, we have seen such a breach of human rights in this country - particularly in Victoria - that it beggars belief. I’m not sure what has been worse: the authoritarianism dished out from our governments and promoted by the fake news media or the muted acquiescence from large swathes of the population. This is very troubling for the future of liberty and freedom in our great nation.

Speaking of authoritarianism, as if Communist China didn’t make things bad enough for us this year, they have now pretty much declared economic war on Australia, effectively boycotting our beef, barley, seafood, wine and coal. The Chinese Embassy in Australia has set out a list of demands to end the trade war against Australia, most of which involves changing our laws to please the Chinese Communist Party. If we give in to this coercion, we may as well lock up parliament and hand the keys to Beijing. It must be remembered that we are not powerless to act against Communist China as I outlined to Sky News recently.

Storm clouds have certainly gathered over our nation in 2020. But, to paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, it is clear that the storm has God’s hand in it. If He has a place and work for us all - and I think He has - we must be ready.

Reclaim Keswick Island at www.ReclaimKeswick.com

The Palaszczuk Labor Government has allowed Queensland’s beautiful Keswick Island to fall into the hands of a Chinese company.

That company has reportedly removed the pre-existing free, safe and fair access to the island from its Queensland residents. It is reported that the Chinese company has stopped tourists from visiting the island, about 80 per cent of which is national park. It is also reported that private planes, previously allowed to fly onto the island, have been barred with only a $1,500 approved helicopter flight from Mackay being permitted - it’s cheaper to fly to London or Bali!

The Palaszczuk Labor Government must act now on behalf of Queenslanders and reclaim Keswick Island. We call on the Palaszczuk Labor Government to terminate the lease of the island currently held by a Chinese company and restore free, safe and fair access for Queenslanders who own property on the island or who just want to visit the island.

Pardoning Julian Assange is about upholding freedom of speech and freedom of the press, and the values that make both America and Australia great. In Assange’s case, there has been a concerted effort by the Left and the never-Trumpers to undermine these values. The same people who have relentlessly attacked the presidency of Donald Trump are the ones persecuting Julian Assange.

Ask PM ScoMo to ban Communist China propaganda tool WeChat

When Prime Minister Scott Morrison recently tried to reach out to Australians of Chinese background, he did so through the popular Chinese social media platform called WeChat. But shortly after posting his message via WeChat, Scott Morrison was censored. That’s because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) calls the shots on WeChat. It is essentially a Fifth Column propaganda tool for the CCP operating within our own country.

In a recent report, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute said “…WeChat raises concerns because of its record of censorship, information control and surveillance, which align with Beijing’s objectives. Media outlets on WeChat face tight restrictions that facilitate CCP influence by pushing the vast majority of news accounts targeting Australian audiences to register in China. Networks and information sharing within the app are opaque, contributing to the spread of disinformation.”

Beyond the fake news…

Beyond the mainstream media we discover the truth. Here’s what I’ve been reading:

You’ve heard that allegations of vote fraud and irregularities in the US Presidential election are “baseless” and there’s “no evidence”. White House Assistant to the President Peter Navarro has released this explosive report that proves that wrong. (You can hear Navarro detail the contents of that report here.) You can also watch a rare unbiased news report/documentary covering all of the irregularities in the US election here. As bad as our elections sometimes can get, the US example shows we should hold on to the paper ballot system as long as we can.

ZeroHedge reports that Communist China tailed an American warship through the Taiwan Strait on Saturday, which makes precisely a dozen such incidents in the contested strait in 2020. It’s as if they’re provoking war.
